Anna Naud


Background

Called to the Ontario Bar in 2005, Anna C. Naud spent nine years at a large national firm on Toronto’s Bay Street before joining Mason Bennett Johncox Professional Corporation in Brooklin, Ontario as a corporate/commercial lawyer in September 2013. Anna advises clients in both the for-profit and not-for-profit/charity sectors on day-to-day corporate and commercial matters. Anna strives to become a valuable member of each client’s business team for the life of the organization, advising on matters such as incorporations, contracts, by-laws and policies, Board governance, mergers, reorganizations, asset/share purchases and sales, and dissolutions.

Anna is active in her community. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity Durham Inc. (and is the Board Secretary and member of the Governance Committee), and recently ended a six-year term on the Executive Committee of the Charity & Not-for-Profit Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association. In addition to being an Instructor for the UOIT MDC Not-for-Profit Management Certificate Program since 2013, Anna is a frequent guest speaker on a variety of issues affecting for-profit businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and registered Canadian charities at events and courses organized by institutions such as Durham College, Seneca College, the International Policy Governance Association, the Professional Association of Volunteer Leaders – Ontario, and the Chambers of Commerce/Boards of Trade throughout Durham Region. Anna is the co-author (with Catherine Raso of CMR Governance Consulting) of the Board Administration Handbook (2014) for boards of directors.
