Master's Certificate in Public Sector Management


Registration for the 2018-2019 Master's Certificate Program is now Closed.

This program is an intensive 15-day executive education program. It consists of 15 courses for managers and executives with diverse educational backgrounds who are experienced in a public sector/government or related organization. Attendance of each course date is paramount to completing the program. Participants will receive a framed certificate upon completion.

  • Understand public sector reforms, particularly in local/municipal government; and
  • Comprehend organizational performance and challenges facing the public sector and municipal government.

  • Public Sector Professionals targeted for promotion or additional responsibilities

Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (every other Friday from mid-September 2018 - April 2019, with exception of April 12, 2019).

Fee: $4,100 + HST

Location: Whitby Centennial Building

Note: This program runs every other Friday from mid-September to April of the following year. Accommodation is made for statutory holidays and March break. Participants must complete each course in order to receive their framed certificate at a graduation held during the final class.

MDC is pleased to announce that the UOIT, Master's Certificate in Public Sector Management has been recognized by the AORS (Association of Ontario Road Supervisors) as equivalent to the AORS Public Works Leadership Development program in the following areas:
