Jane Bowen, CA
Biography
Jane M. Bowen, CA lectures for the UOIT, Faculty of Business and IT in the areas of financial accounting and auditing. Jane has also been a seminar leader at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario's School of Accountancy for many years and is currently the co-coordinator for the Professional Practice portion of the school. In the area of standard setting, she is member of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association Financial Accounting Exposure Draft Response Committee. She has been involved in professional development and education for CAs for many years and has been involved in the preparation and presentation of numerous professional development courses for chartered accountants including: Professional Practice Update, Auditing Risk, Accounting and Auditing within the Not-for-Profit sector, and Accounting for Income Taxes. She is also on the development team and has presented at the in-depth GAAP course available through the CICA. Jane is also the co-author of two Carswell publications, Guide to Preparing Financial Statements, and Designing and Using Effective Analytical Procedures.
Jane instructs courses for the MDC in the areas of Not-For-Profit accounting and International Financial Reporting Systems (IFRS).
