UOIT presents a 1 1/2 day workshop designed for health care facilities.

Overview:

MDC is pleased to host a one and one-half day (1 & 1/2 day) Patient Journey Modelling (PaJMa) workshop that is designed specifically for health care organizations and will focus on providing a visual representation of the processes involved in a patient journey. During this workshop your health care professionals will work together with our UOIT researchers to study your individual organization and to implement the tools and techniques required to implement the PaJMa model.

 

 

 Objectives:

Before attending a one-day in-class workshop your team will be provided with four (4) hours of on-line preparation on the functional requirements of the PaJMa model. You will cover the following topics during lectures, case studies, discussion and hands-on practice and implementation:

  • Discuss the current and emerging health service redesign research directions;
  • Transfer knowledge through the sharing of real life patient journey modelling experiences from local and international projects;
  • Provide opportunities to discuss current health care service issues (i.e. mental health, maternity, renal, oncology, emergency care etc.), brainstorm potential solutions and develop cross-organizational quality improvement circles;
  • Transfer knowledge through facilitated hands-on workshops on the patient journey modelling process and application to participant provided cares; and
  • Explore future research partnerships and grant application opportunities with participating attendees.
