Lean Training - White Belt

Overview

The Lean White Belt is a 1-day instructor-led program that provides participants with a basic introduction and awareness of Lean Thinking and benefits both themselves and the organization through the successful implementation of Lean principles.

The program helps to educate and involve all employees in their organization’s efforts to improve process efficiencies and eliminate waste. The program is an excellent way to train large numbers of staff as part of a change management or awareness initiative for Lean implementation.

Target Audience

Commitment and support for Lean in any organization needs to come from the top down for support and from the bottom up for implementation. With this in mind, the program is appropriate for a diverse range of individuals. With this in mind, the program is appropriate for a diverse range of individuals. Specific Lean programs have been developed with specific case studies in the following areas;

What It Covers

  • Lean History and Basics
  • Applying Lean specific to the sector (public, private and service, manufacturing, finance and supply chain management)
  • MUDA – 8 Wastes
  • Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Flow and Pull
  • Visual Workplace and 5S
  • Problem Solving Techniques
  • Kaizen and PDCA/PDSA
  • Identifying Opportunities for Improvement
