The Management Development Centre is pleased to introduce our re-designed social media program - "Digital Marketing & Social Media Management Certificate Program".

This three-day program is designed for you to take action and launch a Social Media program you will implement right away so that you can obtain a successful ROI for your organization. By taking a methodical approach to social media - learn, apply, measure, report - you will be confident that you are using the right messages, using the right channels and eliminate feeling overwhelmed.

What makes this UOIT program different:

  • It’s actionable. The program is tailored for your organization so that you obtain hands-on results.
  • It’s interactive. You will receive ongoing feedback from the class and the instructors to generate and inspire new ideas.
  • It’s sustainable. We will be laser-focusing on time management techniques so that you can stay on top of you presence online and aligning it with your overarching marketing initiatives.

 

In this program, you will:

  • Integrate and execute an effective social media campaign extend word-of-mouth awareness and be the “go-to” thought leader for your target audience.
  • Develop practical strategies to position your brand properly using the right social media channels that work best for your audience.
  • Construct a time-management system to ensure you’re getting the maximum impact of your time on Social Media to eliminate overwhelm and stay focused on producing results

Completion of all three (3) courses will lead to a University Certificate awarded by UOIT.

  • The importance of listening and engaging online
  • Building ideal customer/client avatars
  • Mapping their message across various platforms
  • Audit of existing channels and Social Media SWOT analysis
  • Setting of concrete goals and key performance indicators (KPIs):
    • What does success look like at your organization?
    • Qualitative and quantitative KPIs
  • Best practices of compelling content that resonates with your target audience

  • The importance of owning your relationship with your audience (blogging, newsletters) and aligning it with your Social Media presence.

  • Hands-on development of a three-month content calendar development and strategy plan: What will you publish? When will you deploy it?

  • How to use Canva to generate images that complement the content
  • Best practices and “how-tos” for the core channels (Focus on Facebook and LinkedIn but can build in other channels based on the students in the classroom and their target audiences)
    • Getting more inbound traffic (to your site and your Social Media channels)
    • Ways to encourage engagement
    • How to avoid Social Media disasters and dealing with “trolls”
  • How to identify and reward influencers for sharing word-of-mouth
  • Set up and deployment of the developed content and creative (using Hootsuite as well as organic scheduling on Facebook)
  • Aligning the original goals of Day 1 to ensure you are getting an effective ROI
  • A look at advertising on Facebook and LinkedIn – is it worth the investment (this will depend upon their campaigns and we can look at tailoring an advertising campaign based on their goals in Day 1 and the content development in Day 2)
